Dwane Husbands, another Barbadian singer, who was a runner-up in the Courts/Cable & Wireless Super Star Search last year, is all set to break - with the help of Rihanna.
Dwane Husbands, will feature in a song on Rihanna’s second album, which is to be launched in April. A reggae duet titled ‘Dem Haters’, is featuring Husbands and the Barbadian singing sensation Rihanna.
Rogers said “We recorded Dem Haters on Monday in Connecticut and it came out fantastic,” and further added “The Def Jam people were excited and included it, based on feedback, on a retail and Press sampler among five top songs. Dwane did a great job. We’re happy for him.”
He said “it was wonderful that Rihanna had reached out to assist a fellow artiste from her homeland.”
Rihanna, who is touring Japan now, was excited about it. It’s a key song on the new album where he sings the second verse and then ad libs.
